Never Give Up!    ESCAPE

Honouring ALL victims of Domestic Abuse through
awareness and education.

Our Mission and History

In June, 2005 our sister, Karen Louise Beck, left her husband of over 30 years due to the abuse she had suffered throughout her married life.

From that time until November 15, 2007 when her husband murdered her, we listened and supported Karen in whatever way we could.  It wasn't enough.  She still ended up dead.

It was shortly after her murder that we decided we could no longer remain part of the status quo and say nothing regarding domestic abuse.

We made a commitment to each other and to the memory of our sister Karen that we would:

1.  Raise our voice to ensure the issue of domestic abuse would be heard and be taken out of the shadows;

2.  Work with other agencies to effect positive changes to the laws to help protect ALL victims of domestic abuse;

3.  Ensure the perpetrators of domestic abuse receive the help and support they need so their patterns of abuse would stop;

4.  Work with youth agencies and groups to educate the youth of today so they will recognize and stop domestic abuse from affecting their lives; and

5.  Assist agencies in fundraising, so the victims can have a safe haven and much needed time to rebuild their self esteem and strength to move forward in a positive and healthy way.

Join us in our quest to help ALL victims stay safe.  Through our Koffee with Karen program you can help agencies in their fundraising efforts and to help educate women, men and the youth of today in the real life consequences of domestic abuse.
