June 2008 – Tiara Classic Golf tournament in support of Lurana Shelter
September 2008 - The Inside Story - In the eyes of a Stalker.  This 2 hour radio documentary with award winner Michelle Boden was aired on 630 CHED radio.  It featured Darlene and Adam talking about Karen's story and the need for heightened awareness for all victims of domestic violence. 
November 2008 – Key note speaker for Breakfast with the Guys Mayors Breakfast in Medicine Hat, Alberta November 2008 – Key note speaker for a major fund raiser in Brooks Alberta
December 2008 – Key note speaker with Lutheran Church Youth Group in Calgary Alberta
February 2009 – Key note speaker for Cythera Transition house 25^th anniversary in Maple Ridge, BC
February 2009 – Appeared with Christy Clark on CKNW Radio for a full 30 minute discussion around domestic violence.
February 2009 – Key note speaker for Harvest Fellowship congregation in Maple Ridge, BC
May 2009 – Arranged corporate sponsorship with Unilever Canada to donate $20,000 worth of Food, Home and Personal care products to Phoenix Safe House, Musasa House in Medicine Hat, Alberta and the Cantara Safe House in Brooks, Alberta
June 2009 – Participated in Medicine Hat, Alberta Spectrum three day Sunshine Festival
June 2009 - Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, Medicine Hat, Alberta
